Celtic Crosses

Uncle Jerry, lover of the Emerald Isle, asked for Celtic crosses. I needed morning sun for this, and that's been sort of hard to come by! However, this morning we woke to bright sun and made a special photographic visit to the cemetery.

Reading the inscriptions, I learned that many belong to those who were born in Ireland and died in New Zealand.

I think the Irish would have felt at home here and not lacking for green hills by the sea.

As a bonus for today, here is a special Kiwi form of the cross.
